Mukyenga is a student from Uganda. His parents are separated and he is an only child who lives with his grandparents. They shared that Mukyenga’s father went to United Arab Emirates for greener postures but they have not heard from him for the last 10 years. Mukyenga’s mother remarried and they have not heard from her for a very long time either. Mukyenga’s grandparents are small-scale farmers.
Two years ago, Mukyenga had an inguinal scrotal hernia. This hernia causes him pain and dysuria. If not treated, the hernia may result into intestinal tissue damage or even death. Fortunately, on February 4th, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $219 to fund Mukyenga’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
Mukyenga’s grandfather says, “I hope when he successfully undergoes his surgery, he will be fine.”
