Ann is a strong woman who has been through a difficult few years. Two years ago, her husband passed away and left her a young widow. Last year, Ann was diagnosed with tuberculosis. Ann had a good job as a receptionist, but the persistent cough and significant weight loss of TB took such a toll on her body that she was forced to give up her position.
But Ann put up a fight. She spent her entire savings on medical care and became TB free. Now, however, Ann has been diagnosed with cervical dysplasia. Her condition is in its early stages, but doctors at African Mission Healthcare Foundation worry that without intervention it will “spread and develop into full blown cancer.”
Ann has no money left to put towards medical treatment. The procedure she needs costs $300, and her doctors are confident that it will be incredibly high-impact; preventing her from getting cancer. We want to raise the money African Mission Healthcare Foundation needs to cover the cost of her care and enable Ann to get back on track.
