Peter is a family man from Uganda. He has worked hard all his life to support his family, but for the last ten years, a hernia has caused him much pain and discomfort.
Peter and his wife, Angel, have raised several children, two of whom still live at home. They also support several grandchildren. Together, they are small farmers who grow food for their family and coffee beans for sale. Peter also brews a local beer, which he sells. In his free time, he enjoys grazing his goats and walking with them in the hills. He also enjoys telling stories to his grandchildren and teaching them how to set traps to catch small animals and birds for food.
Peter is scheduled to undergo hernia repair surgery on February 9. He will contribute $7 to his care. Our medical partner, The Kellermann Foundation, is requesting an additional $229. After his surgery, Peter hopes to start a small business selling rice, beans, and maize flour.
“I will be so happy when I am pain-free,” says Peter. “Thank you to all the donors. I will pray that God blesses them in their work.”
