Ryan is nine months old and lives in Nairobi. His mother is a stay-at-home mom, and his father is employed in an electronics shop. Their combined income is barely enough to cover daily needs.
Recently, Ryan was diagnosed with hypospadias, a congenital condition that causes urinary dysfunction. If he does not undergo treatment, he may experience fertility problems and social stigma.
Fortunately, he is scheduled for corrective surgery on May 12. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $700 to help fund Ryan’s surgery.

Ryan underwent surgery in a sensitive area.
Ryan’s surgery to correct the defect was successful. He remained strong during his hospital stay, despite the post-surgical pain. Now, he still has a little pain but it will likely subside soon. He will no longer experience urinary dysfunction.
Ryan’s mother says, “We felt loved and for that we are grateful. May you never tire from the good work you are involved in doing.”
