Koem Srorn is a 55-year-old handyman from Cambodia. Koem Srorn is married with four sons, four daughters, and three grandchildren. His wife is a farmer. Koem Srorn enjoys watching the TV news, listening to the radio, and watching Thai dramas.
However, five months ago, Koem Srorn developed a cataract in his left eye, causing him blurred vision, cloudy lens, and photophobia. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Koem Srorn learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for four and a half hours with his wife by taxi seeking treatment. On September 28th, doctors will perform phacoemulsification and an intraocular lens implant in his left eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $229 procedure.
Koem Srorn said, “I hope I can drive my motorbike easily after my surgery!”
