Siev Sov is a 10-year-old, fourth grade student from Cambodia. He has one sister and likes to watch TV, read books, and study English in his free time.
When Siev Sov was nine years old, he developed an ear infection in his right ear that perforated the right side of his eardrum. Since then, Siev Sov has been experiencing recurrent ear discharge, hearing loss, and tinnitus. His family worries that Siev Sov’s ear problems will become more severe if he does not seek treatment.
Our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, is requesting $423 to fund a myringoplasty for Siev Sov, which is scheduled to take place on July 17. Surgeons will repair the perforation in his eardrum, and, once the treatment has been completed, Siev Sov’s hearing will hopefully improve over time.
