Thy is a 46-year-old construction worker from Cambodia. He has four children, two sons and two daughters, and enjoys watching boxing programs on television, listening to the radio, and growing vegetables nearby the house to cook and sell.
In February 2014, Thy was in a severe motorcycle accident where he fractured his left leg. He spent two weeks at a local hospital where doctors fixed him with internal hardware to help the fracture heal. Now, the fracture has healed but the hardware causes him pain and numbness in his leg.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, can help. On December 13, Thy will undergo a hardware removal procedure, which will cost $214. This operation will help Thy to feel more comfortable and walk without any difficulty.
Thy said, “I hope that I will no longer have any issues and pain in my leg and will feel better again.”
