Jayden is a student from Kenya who was diagnosed with hypospadias at birth. This is a condition where the urethral opening is abnormally placed. Doctors have recommended corrective surgery as, if not treated, Jayden is likely to suffer fertility issues and stigma.
Jayden is the firstborn of three and hopes to be an engineer in future. Mathematics happens to be his favorite subject. Jayden’s mother sells groceries while his father works casually in a construction site to supplement the family income. Even with their combined income, they are not able to raise the funds needed for Jayden’s surgical care. The family appeals for financial assistance.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $700 to cover the total cost of his procedure and care.
“I want to be an engineer in future,” says Jayden.
