Khov is a rice farmer from Cambodia. She has seven children and ten grandchildren. She likes to listen to monks on the radio.
Six years ago, Khov developed a cataract in her left eye, causing her tearing and blurred vision. She has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
Her granddaughter says, “I noticed that my grandma can’t recognize us, she has a hard time eating, and can’t go outside by herself.”
When Khov learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, she traveled for four hours seeking treatment. On February 13, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in her left eye. After recovery, she will be able to see clearly. Now, she needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
