Kabahweza is a 43-year-old farmer and mother of five from Uganda.
For the past five years, Kabahweza has been having intermittent swelling above her umbilicus that has only gotten worse and more painful over time.
Later diagnosed as a hernia, Kabahweza sought treatment for her swelling through our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation. She is now scheduled to undergo hernia repair surgery on July 5, and is requesting $249 to cover the total cost of her procedure and care.
“After surgery I will continue with farming, it’s my source of income,” says Kabahweza.
