Loeng is a 70-year-old rice farmer from Cambodia. She has three children, seven grandchildren, and enjoys reading scripture in her spare time.
One year ago, Loeng developed a cataract in her left eye, causing her blurry vision. She has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Loeng learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, she traveled for one and a half hours seeking treatment. Doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in her left eye. After recovery, she will be able to see clearly. Now, she needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
Loeng shared, “I hope that after my surgery, I will be able to return to the pagoda to join in the ceremonies, and go anywhere I want to on my own again.”
