Biryomumisho is 27-year-old from Uganda. Biryomumisho works in one of the matchstick factories as a machine operator. He shared that his salary is very little and cannot match the current high costs of living around their village. His wife runs a small local bar that helps their family earn a living. They rent two rooms; using one for shelter and the other one for their small business of the bar. Their first born is 3 years old and hasn’t yet started school.
For the last two years, Biryomumisho has experienced pain that comes and goes. He’s noticed his pain worsens whenever it threatens to rain. He has never visited any hospital for medical attention and has come to Watsi’s Medical Partner Rushoroza Hospital to seek medical advice. Doctors have diagnosed a mass on his neck that needs to be removed.
On October 8th, surgeons will remove the mass. Now, Biryomumisho needs help to raise $145 to fund this procedure.
Biryomumisho shared, “With the surgery, I believe I will be able to work comfortably. I will not be worried of the possible expansion of the swelling and I will do my duties normally.”
