Lens Clifford is a fourth grade student who lives with his mother, grandparents, and younger sister in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
He was born with a cardiac condition called coarctation of the aorta, which means his aorta is abnormally narrow and blood has difficulty passing through it. This requires the heart to pump harder to push the blood through and can lead to heart failure.
Lens Clifford will be receiving surgery to help correct his cardiac condition at our medical partner’s care center, Health City Cayman Islands. His surgery is scheduled for June 8. In order to fund his transportation to the center, our medical partner, Haiti Cardiac Alliance, is requesting $1,343.
Lens Clifford says, “I am excited for my surgery so that I can run and play as much as I want!”
