Lesly is a 26-year-old woman from Guatemala. She lives with her husband and three young sons in the country’s rural highlands.
Since she was a little girl, Lesly has struggled with her vision, but she was never able to afford a doctor’s visit in order to get her eyes checked. A few months ago, her eyes became irritated and red. She was able to go to a clinic and receive an eye exam, as well as a prescription for new eyeglasses.
Our medical partner, Wuqu’ Kawoq, is requesting $552 to cover the cost of Lesly’s new glasses. She is scheduled to receive her new prescription on June 9 at our medical partner’s care center, Intituto Panamericano.
“Thank you to the institution for all the support you give to people of scarce resources,” Lesly says.
