Reynia is a farmer from Malawi. Reynia lives with her husband and daughter and she helps her daughter with her children and the household chores. In her free time, she likes to play with her grandchildren.
Since October 2017, Reynia has been experiencing pain and abnormal bleeding. She has been diagnosed with cervical cancer. She needs to undergo a hysterectomy, a procedure in which surgeons will remove her uterus.
Our medical partner, World Altering Medicine, is requesting $650 to fund Reynia’s surgery. On December 14, she will undergo gynecological surgery at Nkhoma Hospital, our medical partner’s care center. The requested money pays for supplies, medications, and seven nights of hospital stay. Reynia was thrilled to find out her surgery would be funded. The family does not have much money and her diagnosis was a grave concern to her and her family.
She says, “Thank you for this support.”
