Sokha is a factory worker from Cambodia. He has three sons, four daughters, and four grandchildren. He enjoys listening to music and watching boxing matches.
Two years ago, Sokha developed a cataract in his right eye, causing him blurred vision, tearing, a clouded lens, and photophobia. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Sokha learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for one and a half hours seeking treatment. On March 14, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his right eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
He says, “I hope I can see everything clearly so I can continue my work as security guard at the factory and be able to drive my moto more easily than now.”
