Pov is a 42-year-old rice farmer from Cambodia. In his free time, he likes to watch television, help the family with the housework, and feed the farm animals around the house.
Three months ago, Pov was in a traffic accident that caused him to fall off his tractor and fracture his left leg. He finds it difficult and painful to walk and cannot perform his work duties at the rice field.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, can help. On June 5, Pov will undergo a fracture repair procedure, which will cost $430. This procedure will help Pov recover from his fracture so he is able to move and walk easily again.
He says, “I hope that after my surgery my leg will heal and I will be able to walk and return to work.”
