Monica is a three-month-old baby girl from Tanzania. She is the second child in her family. Her mother stays at home to care for the household, and her father works as a subsistence farmer to support their family.
Monica was born with clubfeet, a condition in which the feet grow inward making it difficult to walk. On June 13, Monica will undergo treatment for her clubfeet at Arusha Lutheran Medical Centre, our medical partner’s care center.
Although Monica’s family has contributed $45 towards her care, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is asking for $890 to cover the rest of her expenses.
Monica’s mother says, “Please help my daughter get better so that she may be able to walk.”
