Naing Oo is a 19-year-old young man from Burma. He lives with his parents and younger brother in Buu Din Kyaung Village, Thaton Township, Mon State. He works on a farm with his parents. His younger sister is a student.
In 2017, Naing Oo began to feel an intense pain in his back. Recently, he underwent an x-ray that showed an abnormal growth on the back of his spine.
Doctors want Naing Oo to undergo a CT scan, a procedure in which x-ray images taken from several angles are combined to produce cross-sectional images of the body. This scan will hopefully help doctors diagnose his condition and formulate an appropriate treatment plan.
Our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, is requesting $414 to cover the cost of Naing Oo’s CT scan and care, scheduled for October 26.
Naing Oo says, “There is only one thing that I want. It is to regain my health so I can work and support my parents and also to pay back all the debts that we have.”
