Denis is a 19-year-old student from Uganda. He is the second oldest of five siblings, and lives with his parents, Hope and Frank. Currently in secondary school, Denis hopes to attend university and study to be a lawyer. He enjoys reading novels and playing volleyball and football after school.
Denis has been living with an inguinal hernia for almost 14 years. The pain currently prevents him from doing anything physically strenuous and impacts his activities.
Denis is seeking treatment through our medical partner, The Kellermann Foundation, and is scheduled to receive hernia repair surgery on June 3. Although Denis is able to contribute $7 to the cost of the surgery, he is still in need of $229 to cover the rest of the expenses.
“I want to say thank you to the donors for their support,” says Denis. “My family and I could not afford the operation, that’s why we waited so long. May God bless you.”
