Silva is a 44-year-old farmer from Southwestern Uganda. He and his wife have four children, all of whom are in school. Silva enjoys going to church with his family and is an active member of his community. He is also the treasurer of the building committee of his church.
Over the past year, Silva has not been able to work his land as much as he would like, due to a hernia that has been causing him increasing amounts of pain and discomfort.
Seeking treatment, Silva visited our medical partner, The Kellermann Foundation, and is scheduled to undergo hernia repair surgery on May 4. Although he is able to contribute $7 to the cost of his procedure, he is still in need of $229 to cover the rest of the expenses.
“I thank the donors for helping with my treatment,” says Silva. “I have not yet completed paying for my children’s tuition for this term, so it is a great relief to me to have this help. May God bless you.”
