Han is a 63-year-old chef from Cambodia. He has four children, eight grandchildren, and enjoys listening to the monks pray on the radio and preparing food for others.
One month ago, Han developed a cataract in his left eye, causing him blurry vision. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Han learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for one hour seeking treatment. On September 11, doctors will perform a phacoemulsification cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his left eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
“I hope that once my surgery is complete, I will be able to see clearly again and can return to my work as a chef.”
