Angelo is a ten-year-old boy from the Philippines. He is a happy-go-lucky kid who enjoys going to church and playing with the other kids in his neighborhood.
Angelo was born with a malformed colon, and underwent a surgical procedure when he was only a few days old to try to correct the problem. This, however, did not work, and in November of 2016, Angelo underwent the first part of a two-step procedure to fully correct his condition.
Since Angelo only received the first half of the procedure, he has experienced indigestion, weight loss, limitation in physical activities, and an unpleasant odor. He has become more shy as he is embarrassed that others may judge him for his smell.
Returning to our medical partner, International Care Ministries, Angelo will undergo the second part of his corrective surgery on April 24. His family is requesting $1,500 to cover the total cost of his procedure.
“As Angelo’s parents, we hope that Angelo could live a life with lesser discomforts from his condition. We are very thankful that we will be helped again to finish what he has started. His treatment will be a great help to Angelo to live a normal life. It will free us from all the worries associated with Angelo’s condition.Thank you so much in advance to those people who are really kindhearted to support Angelo,” says his mother.
