Flora is an 18-year-old from Tanzania. She just finished high school. She loves learning and hopes to continue studying after examination results come out. Flora’s parents are both farmers. Flora’s mother is also a hairdresser.
Flora’s condition began five years ago. She has been experiencing difficulty breathing and sleeping. Flora was recently diagnosed with enlarged tonsils, which, if not treated, will cause her symptoms to persist and possibly intensify over time.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $633 to fund a tonsillectomy for Flora, which is scheduled to take place on November 16. Surgeons will remove her tonsils, hopefully relieving Flora of her symptoms and helping her live more comfortably.
Flora says, “I will be delighted to get well…Thank you a lot for helping my family and me.”
