Almaz is a loving mother from Ethiopia. She takes pride in her work and is endlessly supportive of her three grown children.
Until recently, Almaz supported herself through construction work. Several months ago, she developed an abdominal mass. The mass is now the size of a football. It is ulcerated, painful, and making it difficult for Almaz to accomplish daily tasks.
Africa Mission Healthcare Foundation is requesting $495 to fund the removal of Almaz’s mass. The surgery will relieve Almaz’s suffering, prevent further pain, and offer significant palliative benefit. It’s important to mention that Almaz’s doctors fear her mass may be cancerous. If it is, they warn, “there is a high likelihood that this cancer has already spread and that this operation will not be curative.”
Regardless of her long-term prognosis, we believe Almaz deserves to live a pain-free, dignified life. Let’s fund the surgery Almaz needs and show her she’s not in this alone.
