Visal is an eight grade student from Cambodia. He has a sister and a brother. He enjoys reading and learning about the Khmer language. He to swim in the river, fish, and play football with friends.
Five days ago, he developed a painful mass on his knee. The abscess is growing and is painful.
Visal traveled to our medical partner’s care center to receive treatment. On May 1, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), will remove the mass. Now, Visal needs help to raise $220 to fund this procedure.

Visal underwent a mass removal procedure.
Visal’s excision surgery went well and he’s been working with the physiotherapy team to improve the mobility and function in his knee. Surgery will allow Visal to greatly improve his quality of life and allow him to walk without pain.
His grandmother says, “I am feeling so happy for my grandson now that he can walk and bend his knee without pain. He can continue to study at school.”
