Rowland is a nine-year-old boy from Tanzania. He enjoys school and loves playing soccer, especially when he is the goalie. His father was previously employed as a taxi driver, and his mother is a homemaker.
When Roland was five years old, his parents noticed that he was sleeping with his mouth open and regularly had the flu. On a visit to Arusha Lutheran Medical Centre (ALMC), our medical partner’s care center, Roland learned that he has tonsillitis.
On April 6, Roland will undergo surgery to remove his tonsils at ALMC. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is asking for $633 to cover the cost of his surgery. His parents are able to contribute $24 to his treatment.
After treatment, Rowland will be able to breathe well, attend school properly, and engage in other activities!
