Chheng Ai is a 52-year-old woman from Cambodia. She works as a rice and crop farmer, and she is married with two daughters. In her free time, Chheng Ai enjoys watching the news and a comedy program on TV.
About a year ago, Chheng Ai developed a cataract in each of her eyes, causing her blurred vision and overall discomfort. It is difficult for her to see things clearly, recognize faces, and go about her routine independently.
After hearing about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), she decided to seek treatment. On March 28, Chheng Ai will undergo a phacoemulsification procedure at Kien Khleang National Rehabilitation Centre, CSC’s care center. She will also receive intraocular implants in each of her eyes. CSC is asking for $292 to cover the cost of her treatment.
After recovery, Chheng Ai is looking forward to being independent again!
