Hung is a 53-year-old carpenter and a married father. He has one daughter who is in school. He cannot work as a carpenter right now because of his vision. At home, he spends time with his wife and daughter and enjoys watching the news on TV.
Four years ago, Hung developed a cataract in his left eye, causing him blurry vision, sensitivity to light, and tearing. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Hung learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled there with his wife seeking treatment. On May 24th, doctors will perform a phacoemulsification cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his left eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $229 procedure.
Hung shared, “I want to be able to see well so I can return to work and supporting my family.”
