“I hope my dad gets well soon so that he can continue working,” shares Pring’s son.
Pring is a 53-year-old father of six children. A resident of rural Cambodia, he loves watching boxing and fishing in the river by his house.
Last March, Pring fell while working and broke his arm. He initially sought treatment from a traditional healer in his village. When the arm didn’t get better, he went to a nearby clinic, and spent his savings to get a fracture repair operation.
Unfortunately, though, Pring hasn’t healed properly from the surgery, causing deformity and limited function in his hands, fingers, and wrist. He hasn’t been able to work much, and thus his large family’s main income source has ceased almost entirely.
But there is a way forward for Pring. For $497, we can fund the operation that he needs to undergo on September 6 to correct the badly healed parts of his arm. This fundraising goal will also cover the lab tests and week-long hospital stay necessary for his procedure.
After his surgery, Pring’s hand and arm will once more be functional, allowing him to get back to work to provide for his many children once more.
