Reaksmey is a 7-year-old girl from Cambodia, in first grade. She has two younger sisters and enjoys reading books, playing games, and watching TV. She traveled four hours with her mom to reach Watsi’s medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC).
Reaksmey has had nasal congestion, a runny nose, and difficulty breathing at night for two years. Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) doctors have discovered a hypertrophy of the adenoids and tonsils. She experiences throat pain, hearing loss, and difficulty swallowing.
For $221, ENT surgeons will perform a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. After surgery, her nasal congestion will improve, allowing her to breath easily and stop snoring at night.
Her mother shares, “I hope my daughter can eat well and have good health.”
