Esmael is a 13 year-old boy with osteomyelitis of the upper arm. He has been suffering from this severe bone infection for over a year and his condition has progressively gotten worse. Esmael had to quit school due to the loss of function in his arm and the pain.
Before becoming sick, Esmael loved playing soccer with his brothers and studying language in school. His father is a labor worker but does not earn enough to pay for the prolonged hospital stay Esmael’s condition requires.
Africa Mission Healthcare Foundation can treat Esmael’s infection with bone transport surgery. This surgery can give Esmael function of his arm and hand so that he is able to return to school and eventually hold a job. Let’s help get Esmael back in the classroom and onto the soccer field.
