Saveth is a 53-year-old grandmother. She is married with two daughters and five grandchildren. She lives with her husband, and they both sell dried fish at the local market. During her free time, she enjoys listening to the news and music on the radio.
One year ago, Saveth developed a cataract in her right eye, causing her photophobia, blurry vision, and tearing. She has difficulty seeing things clearly, including colors and faces, and is worried about falling when walking, so is not able to go places on her own.
On November 2nd, doctors will perform a phacoemulsification cataract surgery and place an intraocular lens implant in her right eye. After recovery, she will be able to see clearly. Now, she needs help to fund this $253 procedure.
Savith shared: “I hope I can see well enough to go outside, drive a motorcycle, and help my husband with our business.”
