Sreng is a rice farmer from Cambodia. He three sons, four daughters, and seven grandchildren. She likes to listen to the radio and watch boxing matches on TV.
Two years ago, Sreng developed a cataract in his right eye, causing him blurry vision, photophobia, and tearing. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Sreng learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for two hours seeking treatment. On August 6, doctors will perform a phacoemulsification surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his right eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
He says, “I hope I can see well so I can return to work, learn more about Buddha, and recognize my grandchildren’s faces.”
