Banyenzaki is a small-scale farmer from Uganda who is married with five children. All are now married and also practicing farming. He and his wife are able to farm enough for his family to eat, but not usually to sell.
Eight months ago, Banyenzaki developed an inguinal scrotal hernia. His work performance is suffering as he feels pain when ploughing, or walking long distances. Fortunately, on May 19th, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $241 to fund Banyenzaki’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
Banyenzaki says: “I am looking forward to continuing with farming after my surgery.”

Banyenzaki did not undergo hernia repair.
Our medical partner just shared an update on Banyenzaki that we wanted to share with you right away. Banyenzaki was scheduled for a hernia repair, but unfortunately he did not turn up for surgery. The hospital has attempted to contact him several times, but have been unable to reach his family during the challenging year. The team has asked that we close his case at this point and support another patient in need. We are grateful for your understanding.
