Twinendembo is a small-scale farmer from Uganda. She is married with six children, all of whom are in school.
For seven years, Twinendembo has been experiencing severe lower abdominal pain and other troubling symptoms. She has been diagnosed with chronic pelvic inflammatory diseases. She needs to undergo a hysterectomy, a procedure in which surgeons will remove her uterus.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $208 to fund Twinendembo’s surgery. On January 11, she will undergo gynecological surgery at our medical partner’s care center. Once recovered, Twinendembo will be able to resume her daily activities free of pain.
Twinendembo says, “I hope to continue with cultivation after surgery.”
