Bugande is a 44-year-old farmer from Uganda. She grows crops for consumption and sale. She has one child and lives with a caring uncle.
Ten years ago, Bugande developed a mass on her abdomen. It has steadily increased in size over the years, causing much discomfort and making it difficult to perform farm work without experiencing pain.
Bugande sought help from our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation (AMHF). The doctors at AMHF recommend removing the mass to relieve Bugande of her discomfort. On August 8, she will undergo surgery. The doctors are requesting $187 to fund the treatment. After surgery, she will be able to live without pain, which will dramatically improve her quality of life.
Bugande says, “ I look forward to receiving the support from you on my surgery. After surgery, I hope to continue with farming to take care of our family.”
