Sabitri is a 36-year old mother of four from Nepal who has lived with a prolapsed uterus, a painful condition that occurs when the pelvic floor muscles weaken and provide inadequate support for the uterus, for a year.
Because her husband is in India, Sabitri supports her children alone. However, the prolapse is making work and physical activity very difficult.
In order for Sabitri to lead a normal life, she will need a hysterectomy. Doctors at our medical partner, Nyaya Health, say that without treatment her condition could lead to ulcers and infection.
For $1,230, we can fund Sabitri’s surgery so she can regain the ability to work and support her family!
