Turyahebwa is a 4-year-old child from Uganda. He is the third born in a family of three siblings. His mother earns a living through subsistence farming, relying on her small piece of land on which she grows crops like beans, maize, and cassava. She also has a banana plantation and rears some domestic animals like pigs and chickens, and shared that she often sells them off to earn a living. His father is a primary school teacher.
Turyahebwa has a swelling above his right eye that he has had since he was born. If the mass is not treated, it may result in further growth and facial disfigurement.
Turyahebwa traveled to our medical partner’s care center to receive treatment. On April 7th, surgeons will remove the mass. Now, Turyahebwa needs help to raise $187 to fund this procedure.
Turyahebwe’s mother says, “When treated, Turyahebwa will be grow up with a healthy life like other children.”
