Senghan is a farmer from Cambodia. She has three daughters, four sons, and 13 grandchildren. She enjoys listening to monks pray on the radio.
Seven months ago, Senghan developed a cataract in her left eye, causing her blurred vision, a clouded lens, and photophobia. She has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Senghan learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, she traveled for six hours seeking treatment. On July 17, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in her left eye. After recovery, she will be able to see clearly. Now, she needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
She says, “I hope to help my daughter at home and take care of my grandchildren after surgery.”
