Roeun is a rice farmer from Cambodia. He enjoys playing volleyball.
In March of 2016, Roeun was in a motorbike accident that caused a fracture in his right leg. He went to an emergency clinic, and the doctors performed surgery, using pins to align the bone and heal the fracture. Unfortunately, the surgery and recovery caused Roen’s knee to become stiff and crackly. Roeun is having trouble walking, which worries him as it’s rice harvest season soon, and he’ll need to work long hours.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, can help. On October 6, Roeun will undergo a hardware removal procedure, which will cost $214. Surgery can help Roeun regain mobility in his leg and decrease the pain.
He says, “I hope I can walk normally again.”
