Nwet is a 42-year-old woman from Thailand. She is a homemaker who takes care of her husband and three children and loves Korean shows.
Four months ago, Nwet was diagnosed with multiple gallstones and underwent an operation to relieve her back and abdominal pain. Though Nwet felt relief from the previous operation, her symptoms of back and abdominal pain have returned. To assist in diagnosing her condition and formulating the appropriate treatment plan for Nwet, our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, is requesting $414 to cover the cost of Nwet’s CT scan and care which is scheduled on March 16th.
Nwet said, “I am afraid to be operated on again but I am encouraging myself to face difficulties with strength. I am also happy to get help from you [BCMF and the donors]. I am a little worried but I am looking forward to working for my family after I am treated completely.”

Nwet underwent a CT scan and is recovering well.
With support from Watsi, Nwet went to Mae Sot Hospital and received her CT scan. After she received the CT scan, the doctor gave her a follow-up appointment and some oral medication based on the diagnosis.
Since Nwet started taking the medication from Mae Sot Hospital, Nwet feels better. Occasionally, she still suffers from some chest and abdominal pain. Then the doctor told her that if she did not feel better after she finished her medication, she may need surgery.
Nwet said, “Thank you very much to donors and BCMF for your help. May all of you be healthy and able to help more patients in the future.”
