Everrest works in an agrovet shop after completing her studies in animal production management. She shared that she lost both parents when she was young and lives with her grandparents.
Since her early childhood, Everrest began to experience troubling symptoms, including heart palpitations, shortness of breath, headache, and easy fatiguability. She was diagnosed with Graves Disease. If she is not treated, she will continue to have more complications and an impact on her quality of life. She needs surgery but is not able to pay for her care on her limited earnings.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Everrest receive treatment. She is scheduled to undergo a thyroidectomy on February 15th at our medical partner’s care center. Surgeons will remove all or part of her thyroid gland. This procedure will cost $252, and she and her family need help raising money.
Everrest says, “It will be a great pleasure and I will be glad to see my health restored so that I am able to do my work well and lead a normal life.”
