May is a 17-year-old woman from Burma. She lives with her mother, siblings and uncle in Kawkareik Towhship, Karen State.
Recently, May underwent an ultrasound. The result shows May has a pelvic mass.
Doctors want May to undergo a CT scan, a procedure in which x-ray images taken from several angles are combined to produce cross-sectional images of the body. This scan will hopefully help doctors diagnose her condition and formulate an appropriate treatment plan.
Our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, is requesting $414 to cover the cost of May’s CT scan and care, scheduled for March 8.
May said, “I am worried about my health and I want to be free from those painfulness. In the future, I would like to keep helping my mother working on the farm.”
