Theang is a farmer from Cambodia. She has two sons, two daughters, and five grandchildren. She likes to listen to monks pray on the radio.
A year ago, Theang developed glaucoma in both eyes. Glaucoma refers to damage to the eye’s optic nerve, or the nerve connecting the eye to the brain. This causes her blurry vision and tearing. It is difficult for her to see.
Theang traveled to our medical partner’s care center to receive treatment. On November 6, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), will perform a glaucoma procedure to improve her vision. Now, Theang needs help to raise $259 to fund this procedure.
Her daughter says, “I worry about my mom’s vision because she can’t see well.”
