Kemirembe is a farmer from Uganda. She is 63 years old. She has five children: four girls and one boy.
Two years ago, Kemirembe developed a left femoral hernia. It is swollen and uncomfortable. Fortunately, on December 13, she will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $249 to fund Kemirembe’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow her to live more comfortably.
Kemirembe says, “After surgery I will go for a thanksgiving mass in church.”

Kemirembe underwent hernia repair surgery.
Kemirembe’s hernia repair was a success. She is no longer at risk of strangulation of the hernia. After recovery she will be able to dig again.
She says, “I feel good. I am so happy about the help you’ve given me. I was unable to either dig or lift any heavy item. I hope after recovery I will be able to do all this. I thought I was going to die of hernia because I had nowhere to get money for treatment. I can’t thank you enough. God bless you.’’
