Happy is a 35-year-old husband and father of six from Uganda. He and his wife are small-scale farmers, producing food for their family’s consumption and to sell to raise money for their basic needs and children’s school fees.
Happy has experienced swelling in a sensitive area for four years, causing discomfort and pain that inhibits his ability to work. Local herbs and prescription medications have not helped.
Happy came to the hospital after learning about Watsi on the radio. He has received a hernia diagnosis and doctors recommend repair surgery. On August 16, surgeons will perform the necessary procedure, relieving Happy’s discomfort and preventing future complications and tissue damage. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, requests $249 for his medical treatment.
After surgery, Happy hopes to resume farming and enjoy some peace of mind.
