Moreen, a small scale farmer and mother of three, lives in Uganda with her family. In addition to farming, Moreen, who is 35 years old, also tries to get small jobs around her neighborhood to supplement the family's income. Her husband works on local construction projects. Moreen is currently pregnant and while the pregnancy has been a healthy one, her doctors are recommending that she deliver this child via a C-section, due to the scars and risk from her earlier C-sections. Moreen understands that this will offer her the best chance for a safe and healthy delivery, but she unable to raise the money to cover the costs of the procedure. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is seeking $252 to fund Moreen's C-section, which is scheduled to take place on December 15th, at Karoli Lwanga Hospital, Nyakibale. Moreen is looking to you for support. Moreen says: "I trust that I will surely deliver well when given your support, because what I am worried about most is the hospital bill."

Mech is a 15-year-old farmer from Cambodia. He lives at home on his family's rice farm with his parents and younger sister. He enjoys Cambodian beef soup and playing volleyball with his friends. Last September, Mech was helping one of his uncle's at a construction site when he got an electric burn on his hand and wrist. His uncle rushed him to the local hospital and they suggested he come to Children's Surgical Centre (CSC) for treatment. Mech is still in pain and unable to use his hand. When Mech learned about our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre (CSC), he traveled for two hours seeking treatment. On January 9th, surgeons at CSC will perform a burn contracture release surgery to relive his pain and help him use his hand again. Now, he needs help to fund this $495 procedure. Mech shared, "I hope after the operation my hand and wrist can heal so I can work and play volleyball again."

Babra is a small-scale business owner from Uganda. She is a mother of three children and has been married for the past twelve years. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family. She currently owns a fruit vending shop in her hometown where she sells mangoes, tomatoes, watermelons, and oranges for income, while her husband drives a taxi. They rent a one-bedroom home in a Rukungiri town. She is currently expecting her fourth child. Her doctors recommended that she deliver via a cesarean section (C-Section) because of three previous scars. This procedure will help prevent further complications that may arise if she does not deliver via C-Section. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child. Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare (AMF), will be performing Babra's C-Section on February 17th. AMF is requesting $252 to fund this procedure. Barbra says, “Your support will be a blessing to me, and I hope to have a successful delivery.”
