Leang 90 years old and has one daughter and five grandchildren. He enjoys listening to monks pray and looking after his grandchildren.
Five years ago, Leang developed a pterygium, a pink tissue growth, in each eye. This causes him blurred vision, burning, and irritation. It is difficult for Leang to see clearly and go places on his own.
Leang traveled two hours with his niece to reach our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), for treatment. He is now scheduled to undergo eye surgery to remove the pterygium from both of his eyes on August 3. CSC is requesting $201 to cover the total cost of his procedure and care.
After the surgery, Leang will be able to see clearly again.
