Borana is a grandfather from Cambodia. He has four grandchildren and used to work at a local online news website.
One year ago, Borana developed a cataract in his right eye, causing him blurry vision and constant irritation. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Borana learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for one hour seeking treatment. On January 15, doctors will perform a phacoemulsification cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his right eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
He says, “I don’t want to disturb my family with my vision loss.”
